Citizens
They are typically the human that wants to escape their daily routines of work, eating and sleeping and go to illegal places where they sell the drug under the desk. Although some do refrain from it and try to help those who have fallen prey to the substance. Others only did it out of curiosity and now pay the consequences.
They are normal humans and this sometimes causes them to adopt animal features and other grotesque 'mutations' in Endonia as they aren't trained by anyone and only given the advice "try to keep your mind", the poorer they are, the more chance that they get stuck because of the bad quality. The richer someone is, the more chance that they have as well as nothing is a guarantee that one comes back safe.
After all, spending too much time there would never be without some hazards.
Scientists
They are curious about anything that has to do with Endonia and everything that has to do with it. They willingly (and with permission of the Government) induce themselves into a deep sleep and go to the other World and with fear in the back of their heads. Because there is a chance that they never will return from the Dream World and leave their bodies behind to rot away.
They are specially trained so that they retain a human-like shape and can carry equipment to gather samples. One thing they all share in common, they have an extremely strong will and should be able to hide their fear as good as possible.
They usually have a wristband that would allow them to quickly return if the situation calls for it, of course it is just a prototype and can fall victim to failure.
Dreamers
Mysterious beings that are made in two different ways. One way is for a Citizen to get stuck and never return to the living World, either way because their body in the real world has died or they simply are unable to find their way back and slowly lost their mind in the twisted landscape. The other way is that they've always been there, but the first reason can still be indirectly related to it.
Their reason is gone and no one has been able to ask those beings who have lost every reason. Of course it is suspected that there are exceptions to this. Their blood is colored differently than humans and mildly toxic if one were to touch it in any way. It isn't known if they suffer from their own blood or not. They are known for their twisted shapes, resembling something human or animal, although yet again there shapes are twisted beyond recognition and strike fear in those who encounter them.
The scientists and the Guardians often try to get them out of the way and kill those, seeing it as their own form of mercy. Although the Dreamers often know different manners to strike back.
Guardians
They are akin to the Dreamers, but instead of being born out of normal Citizens, they are Scientist who had first researched the mysterious World and got twisted as they slowly lost their purpose out of their mind's eye and gave in to their desires of staying forever.
They resemble their original shapes, although there is clearly something wrong with it. No one has quite yet put their finger on it as the normal mind cannot comprehend it. The Guardians each hold a secret close to their heart about the other World, unwilling to share it with anyone. They are limited as more often than not the youngest of those fall victim to the elder and get their secret torn out.
That does not mean that some youngsters aren't cunning enough to survive and find his own place in the twisted society that the Guardians are creating.
